Building better,
together.
ASBEES is the first integrated, multi-sector professional association for sustainable building, engineering, energy and safety in Kosovo and the Western Balkans — raising standards, building skills and connecting an EU-aligned community.
Who we are
One credible, multidisciplinary platform for the region's built environment.
Kosovo is a small, developing market that cannot sustain many fragmented, single-sector bodies. ASBEES unites professionals, companies, institutions and organisations across sustainable construction, building engineering, energy, water, safety, infrastructure and smart systems — to raise the quality of services and standards across the market.
What we do
Five service lines, applied across every active sector.

From buildings and engineering systems to energy, safety, infrastructure and smart cities — delivered in three phased waves. Pictures for each cluster will be added shortly.
Building & Construction
The physical building stock and the act of designing and building it.
Engineering & Building Systems
The technical systems engineered into and serving buildings, plus their operation and maintenance.
Energy
Energy generation, supply, efficiency and management across buildings and systems.
Safety & Resilience
Protection of people, assets and continuity against hazards and shocks — the discipline and compliance layer, not the hardware.
Infrastructure & Environment
Civil and environmental works at network and territorial scale, beyond the single building.
Smart & Urban
The digital, spatial and urban-governance layer over the built environment.
Why now
The region's green transition is funded. It needs an organised platform.
Under its Economic and Investment Plan, the EU has committed major grant funding for the Western Balkans, reinforced by the €6 billion Reform and Growth Facility (2024–2027). Without a body to coordinate standards, training and advocacy, much of this potential remains untapped.
Membership
A tier for every organisation — so no one is priced out.
Fees are recalibrated for Kosovo's economy. Larger members anchor the association's income, while intermediary and lower tiers give smaller firms and young professionals an accessible on-ramp.

Sustainability is the connective spine of everything we do.
ESG runs horizontally through every ASBEES cluster — Building, Engineering, Energy and Safety. We help members adopt EU-aligned environmental, social and governance practice as a route to markets, tenders and finance.
