What ASBEES Is — and Is Not

Clear positioning protects our credibility and our relationships with existing institutions.

ASBEES ISASBEES IS NOT
A multidisciplinary, non-profit, member-owned professional association.A statutory licensing or regulatory chamber.
A developer and promoter of voluntary standards and guidelines.A body that “enforces” standards — enforcement rests with regulators and chambers.
A provider of training, CPD and certification readiness. An accredited certification body (until formally recognised through partnership and legal review).
A neutral platform connecting industry, public institutions, academia and donors.A vehicle for any single company, group or political interest.
A partner to existing sustainability and green-building initiatives.A competitor seeking to replace them.

ASBEES complements the statutory Chambers of Engineers and Architects (which license and regulate professions) by focusing on multidisciplinary market development, knowledge, sustainability, energy efficiency, safety, ESG, training, policy dialogue and voluntary standards.

Toward green-building bodies, it differentiates through engineering systems, fire and life safety, technical installations, facility management, infrastructure and multi-sector standardisation — and seeks cooperation rather than rivalry.

Certification note. ASBEES begins with voluntary certificates, professional recognition and quality labels. Inspections, compliance audits and accredited certification follow later, only through formal partnership and legal review, and always under independence safeguards.
